PA Parade of Homes Information:
Walden Crossroads is growing (and selling!) quickly – only seven homes remain in the first phase at Crossroads. As the phase wraps up, time is running out to take advantage of our Pre-Construction Pricing!
Our first building of Baylor townhomes is ready for move-in, and our Ansley townhomes (featuring Posh Salon and Spa) are also nearly complete!
You’ve heard it from us, and you’ve heard it from a recent homebuyer at Walden Crossroads:
There has never been a better time to buy a home.
Now, hear it straight from the mouths of two Realtors who just sold Charter Homes!
Chuck Gilmore, Realtor with Howard Hanna:
We are excited to welcome first time home buyer Audrey H. to our Walden Crossroads community. Rather than tell you why we think that it’s a great time to buy a new home (and we do!), here’s Audrey’s perspective as a new, first time home buyer
Arlington Model Home Coming Soon!
It’s a show stopper.
The Arlington plan, which will be the model home for The Encore at The Preserve, is grand in scale and grand in style. This single family, two-story home is a spectacular brand new home design.
Starting at 4,120 square feet, 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, this home is spacious and a great value.
Buying a new home comes with countless benefits for home buyers, from health advantages to money saving features. Here’s our take on the “new versus resale” home debate:
Healthy and CLEAN– Let’s face it: no one wants to live in a stranger’s cleaning habits – especially when it comes to areas like your bathroom or kitchen.
Our popular Bella Vista neighborhood in Harrisburg is officially sold out! This is the second Charter Homes neighborhood (including Fair Hill) to sell out this year.
Still interested in owning a home in Mechanicsburg’s Silver Spring Township? Not to worry! Check out our Walden and Walden Crossroads neighborhoods or call us at 800-325-3030.
You’ve heard us say that there’s never been a better time to purchase a new home due to incredibly low mortgage rates and great home prices. We’re not the only ones who think so – just check out the excerpts below!
“It’s now cheaper to buy a two-bedroom home than to rent one
in most major U.S. cities . . . rock-bottom interest rates
have added a lot of weight to the buy side of the scale”
Open, Sesame! All About Swing Open Closet Doors
There are many different types of closet doors – today we’ll show you why we think swing open doors are a low maintenance alternative to other closet door styles – and why you’ll love the bonus storage space they provide!
Construction activity has moved into high gear at Bishop Woods, Charter’s newest neighborhood in Lancaster County’s Elizabethtown. John Foltz, the builder for Bishop Woods, is busy overseeing the construction of our new model home while crews from Charter Excavating are working hard to install new roads and infrastructure.
Walden Crossroads has made lots of progress this summer – we look forward to welcoming new homeowners and businesses to our buildings under construction! Check out the incredible view from the floor-to-ceiling windows on the top floor of our Ansley home design:
Here’s a few sneak peek shots of these new Ansley townhomes. Check out the back:
A recent article by John Burns Real Estate Consulting highlights an important fact for homebuyers:
Buyers who are waiting to buy a home are risking being “priced out” of the market.
Rising mortgage rates and tightening mortgage standards will make it more expensive for home buyers to purchase a home – even if “purchase prices” go down.
Save Your Back Some Stress with an Extra Tall Vanity!
Did you know that 30” is the typical height of a vanity? To help you visualize, this standard 30″ size is about as tall as the average kitchen table – simply too short for most people to use comfortably.
Don’t Compromise on Character: Get Two Times Larger Baseboards in a Charter Home
Let’s face it: sometimes great design isn’t all about functionality – it’s about what looks fabulous in your home. One of the best comments we ever heard from a potential Charter homeowner came during a Parade of Homes open house.
Watch out, other finishes: Brushed Nickel has taken over as the must-have hardware and lighting finish for new homes. What used to be a pay-for upgrade is now standard in every Charter home.
Benefits of Brushed Nickel Fixtures
There are many benefits of buying new, and certainly one of them is buying what’s in style right now.
Does an extra foot really make a difference? Our Design team thinks so! Walk into any Charter home and you will feel the difference that our “super tall” ceilings make.
Benefits of 9 Foot Ceilings in Your New Home:
Your home feels airy and big.
Kitchen Islands or Peninsulas Included in Every Home We Build!
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: a spacious, usable kitchen island is a must have in a new home. If you love the extra counter space and gathering potential created by a kitchen island, say it with us: “Why pay extra for a must have?”
At Charter Homes, we create each new home design based on four guiding principles that we call Living Design. These principles include Natural Light, Great Spaces, Timelessness and Sight Lines – because we believe great design ensures you’ll Live Well in your home.
Now, we’re taking off our “jargon hats” and sharing our design principles with our readers.
